Um Estudo Sobre a Produção de Sentidos e a Progressão Textual

Resumo

O presente estudo pretende identificar como se dá a progressão temática e a construção de sentidos através dos mecanismos de referenciação, principalmente no que concerne às anáforas indiretas, sejam as associativas, as não-associativas e as encapsuladoras. O constructo teórico baseia-se no entendimento de Koch, Marcuschi e na leitura que Cavalcante e Francis fazem desses autores. A teoria de base linguística que dá sustentação a esses estudos é a sociocognitiva. O percurso da pesquisa parte, primeiramente, da apresentação teórica de alguns aspectos da teoria e em seguida à análise dos seguintes textos: O livro é passaporte, é bilhete de partida (Bartolomeu Campos Queirós); A timidez e a contradição (Luís Fernando Veríssimo) e Juventude: A utopia da onipotência (Flávio Gikovate). Por fim, apresentam-se as considerações sobre o resultado da análise dos textos tendo em vista o processo de progressão temática e de construção de sentidos.

ABSTRACT
This study aims at identifying how thematic progression and the construction of meaning take place through mechanisms of referentiation mainly regarding indirect anaphoras, be they associative or non-associative, be they encapsulating. The theoretical construct is based on Koch and Marcuschi’s understanding, as well as on Cavalcante and Francis’s reading of both these authors. The linguistic theory that supports these studies is the socio-cognitive one. Firstly, the course of the research starts off from the presentation of some aspects of the theory and moves to the analysis of the following texts: O livro é passaporte, é bilhete de partida (Bartolomeu Campos Queirós); A timidez e a contradição (Luís Fernando Veríssimo) e Juventude: A utopia da onipotência (Flávio Gikovate). Finally, the considerations on the result of the analysis are presented taking into account the processes of thematic progression and of construction of meanings.
