Espru Tropical

Resumo

O presente estudo visa analisar e discutir o caso clínico em questão sobre Espru tropical. Para tal, foram levantadas as possíveis etiologias, assim como os mecanismos fisiopatológicos prováveis da doença. Além disso, foram abordados a epidemiologia, sintomas, tratamento e prognóstico, sendo estes de extrema importância para a discussão do caso relatado. Essa revisão de literatura foi realizada a fim de compreender melhor essa patologia rara, porém de grande importância médica, e com ainda pouca pesquisa ao seu redor. Vale também enfatizar que os estudos acerca do Espru tropical ainda geram discussões sobre o assunto, pois ainda existem fatores enigmáticos sobre essa doença, assim como divergências, principalmente a respeito de sua etiologia e tratamento adequados.

Abstract

The aim of this review is to analyze and discuss the medical case about Tropical Spru. In this way, the possible etiologies and the  pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease will be discussed. Furthermore, epidemiology, symptoms, treatment and prognosis were also approached, considering the importance of these aspects in the discussion of the case. The literature review was developed to better understand this pathology, which is rare, but has great medical importance, and still hasn’t been studied a lot around the world. It’s important to emphasize that the studies around Tropical Spru caused a lot of discussion among scientists, once there are some uncertainties about the disease, just like divergences between studies, specially about Spru’s etiology and treatment .
